The Fair!

Whew! This week we took some time to enjoy Mina's birthday presents, which included:
Jammies that I like to wear every night (thank you Grandma and Pop Pop!)

Styling accessories (Baby J says- thank you Anshul!)

And a brand renewed membership to Marbles!
Yay for my Grandma and Pop Pop!

Only three more months until the next birthday! (that's January 3rd, in case you need to mark it down.) (:
And we were all worn out from playing inside, we headed out to the fair, which mom and dad are already making plan to avoid next year. But we'll talk them into it. We're persistent and cute.

Dad said he would take us to the fair on one condition. Dad wanted to eat a Krispy Kreme burger. I know. But he's our dad and he has ups and downs like any dad. He likes to eat donuts and has been fascinated by the combination of hamburger meat and and donuts for a long time. So he ate his overpriced donut burger and also had a big coke and then no one got to say anything to us about candy and french fries and corn dogs!

Happy birthday to Mina!

Mina is FOUR years old! So BIG. Huge!
So we had to have a birthday celebration as big as she is. The big day was Friday, and she celebrated with her friends at preschool with some Dunkin Donuts Munchkins.
Then, we celebrated a little bit on Friday night at home.

Jessa celebrated a little bit more. Num Nums.

Then, we celebrated with our big huge party on Saturday afternoon. We got Miss Sarah (our babysitter) and her boyfriend to face paint!

And we decorated pumpkins from the Farmers Market!

And we decorated treat bags with Halloween stickers and then filled 'em up with Pinata treats!

As you can see, the pinata situation got a little hairy. We kept on getting really close! We wanted to catch the candy!

Luckily, no one got hurt. But I think Miss. Jennifer maybe had a little high blood pressure.

And of course, we ate our yummy treats and yummy cupcakes!

Jessa mostly tended to her baby. But she ate a lot too!

Happy birthday Marina!

October means fun!

Yay for October!
Every year, we fill October with birthdays and parties and pumpkins and dress up and candy!
Jessa is pretty new to Octobers, since she was just 5 months old last time. She might take some warming up to the dress up idea! Or at least to the dress up like a monkey idea. Poor Monkey J. I think she was hoping to be a princess. I wore that costume myself many years ago, and all I can say is, Jessa, if you want people around here to listen to you, then you've got to start talking.

Good thing for Jessa that dress up is only part of our October. We also have birthdays! We used to only have one, and that was Mina's on the 15th-- but NOW, we have two! Our second cousin Grace moved here over the summer and her 4th birthday is on the 17th! So we celebrated at Grandma's on Sunday. We share great-grandparents, and so that's fun for us.

We got some presents from Michaela and from Grandma!

it was FUN, of course, but the fun is only just now getting started! Mina is having another pumpkin decorating party on Saturday, and I think it will be great! There will be all her preschool friends and some of our neighbors, and of course Grace and her family!
And, also, October means basketball, but only for my dad. I'm old enough now to go to his games and watch him from the bleachers while Mom stays home and plays baby girl games with my sisters. I made a picture last week of Dad's team. It's very fancy. Dad is on the end, in the blue shirt. He's got the basketball. 'Cause he's my dad.

To Disney and back in 3 days!

So.
What do you get when you:
1) Have two Give a Day, Get a Day tickets from Disney
2) Have enough points for a free hotel visit; and
3) Have a teacher workday two weeks before your fourth birthday?
Well, you pack your bag and you drive south, that's what! You drive and drive from breakfast until dinner (and you snack all the way in between), and then you run around like a banshee and tell the world that you've arrived!
And so we got there and got in our special jammies and we were just beside ourselves!

And then believe it or not, we slept a little bit! And then we got up as soon as we could get our eyes back open again and we woke up the folks and we told them it was almost time!
Then we got dressed in our Disney shirts and got to the park right when it opened!
And oh my, did we have some fun. We rode Goofy's Barnbuster Roller Coaster five times! We even got frequent flyer cards, which I brought into school today for show and tell! Jessa had to sit this ride out, and she also had to sit out Splash and Thunder Mountain, on account of her being itty bitty still-- but not me and not Mina! Mina surprised us all by loving the roller coasters. We thought she might be scared, but she was not one bit scared, she was only excited and happy to be celebrating her fourth birthday at the happiest place on earth.

There were lots of rides Jessa could do though, and so she had a blast, just like we did.

Buzz Lightyear!
Jessa's favorite was the Country Bear Jamboree. She likes those singing bears!
And of course, we all liked the parade.

And we all were mostly ok with the characters, although for some reason, I was standoffish with Jessie and Woody. I just refused to say hello, even though I waited to see them. Not sure what that was about, but I do feel better now, so that's good!
And I was happy to visit the princesses!

Yay for Disney World! Yay for two weeks to Mina's 4th!
