Party Time! By Maddie

This is Marina with her class and her teacher, Mrs. Michele. The girl right next to her is Ariella. Marina graduated from pre-school! Next year two people from her class, Jones and Hailey are going to kindergarten at the same school as us.

This is a picture of Marina graduating from pre-school with a lot of other pre-schoolers.Some people in her class got held back because they were not old enough so they had to stay there another year.

This is a picture of Marina with her teacher.
This is a picture of Marina and her best friend, Hailey.

Mommy and daddy got ready for Jessa's Dora Super Silly Fiesta before Marina's graduation. Mom stained the chairs and Daddy put up the monkey bars.

We used our zebra baby pool that sprays. If we get on one side of the spray that the zebra sprays you can see a beautiful rainbow with all of it's colors. red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

Yogi met a puppy named Lucy, the Gruber's puppy.

Jessa got to blow out three candles because she was turning three. The cake was very yummy. It had two rainbows on it.

Me and my sisters got to catch fireflies all night.

Mackenzie graduated from high school the next day so we got to have cake again.

Jessa got kissed by Lucy.

Maddie's taking over!

For seven years, we've been writing this blog from Maddie's perspective.  It occurred to us recently that Maddie is well able to write the blog from her real perspective. So she is taking over, at least for the summer.  Right now, she is excited, although like any 7 year old, she'll likely lose interest soon enough.  With that in mind, we've got her commitment to keep at it until school starts again in August.  I may insert an editor's note here and there, and I will correct her spelling, but I'll otherwise leave her composition untouched. Maddie has asked me to tell you that she welcomes comments.
Enjoy!

this week was Jessa's birthday! she got lots of presents. Jessa got ice cream with Laura after school.

These are pictures from Jessa's b-day at  our house. she got yummy cupcakes and a yummy cake. Jessa got three candles on her cupcake.

This is what presents Jessa got. Bubbles, toy egg, Dora sunglasses, hugglepod, p-jays, crocs, bracelets, and some other stuff. Every time she opened a present, she had a big smile. I think she forgot to say thank-you.

On Friday, my sisters went to a very boring park. there was a art gallery and a little clubhouse. there was only one swing on the clubhouse.

Mommy made a soccer cake. she did not like the way it looked so she bought soccer cupcakes instead. we had a big feast with Marina's soccer team. daddy helped us reach the monkey bars.

on mother's day, we made a mother's day garden.we planted blueberries, beans, sunflower, tomato, and lettuce.

Last week I went on a field trip to Lucky ladd farms. Me and my friends had a lot of fun at Lucky ladd farms.

Good times

Summer is almost here! We know that for sure because we are in major field trip mode at school and also because Mrs. Abby's pool is OPEN!
Here's a picture from a field trip around the preschool.  Marina took a school bus, which is very good practice for next year. Marina also had a sort of field trip with the fire department, and I went to a petting zoo.  Whew! Poor Jess just stays holed up in her 2 year old classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays-- but not for long! Next year, Jessa will be in the Monday through Friday threes! They'll go on fun trips then, I'll bet!

We love Mrs. Abby's house! She has three cats, four kids, a hamster and a pool!  Can you think of anything more fun? It's hard to imagine.  We have been at the pool a lot these last couple of weeks.

Last weekend, Mom and Dad went to Raleigh to see Brent and Kelly get married.  We stayed here with our super sitter.  They were there in back in a little over 24 hours, and they did not bring us back any cake.  But, everyone looked really nice.  I guess.

A visit from the Lawries

We knew we were going to have an exciting weekend, so we worked hard through the week to get it all done! We read books at the library...

We checked on Justin Beaver...
And we attended to our Girl Scout Daisy responsibilities... At the animal shelter!

I love kitty cats and kitty cats love me!

Whew! That was a tough work week! We were happy when it was Friday afternoon and we got to see our Raleigh next-door neighbors! We put together a big box and some side walk chalk and had just about the funnest playdate ever with Hannah!
We had a Girs Club!

On Saturday morning Mommy and Mrs. Elaine ran in the St. Jude's Country Music Half-Marathon.  They both finished, although Mrs. Elaine finished way, way earlier.  Mrs. Elaine finished 11th this time. She beat lots of other ladies.  Yay Mrs. Elaine! Yay Mommy!
After the race, we all got together again and had some very fun times!
