Winter weather, finally!

Jessa's first snow (that stuck)!

We've been waiting for a long time for some winter weather-- which we only get once or twice a winter in our parts. And here it is!
Five inches, according to the news. Mom says it looks more like three.
This morning, we got up and got dressed and ran outside! Sadly, it didn't take long until we were completely miserable...
Snow is cold!

Mom warmed us up with some hot chocolate (with marshmallows!) Then, she used the promise of more hot chocolate to lure us back outside. Mommies cannot be trusted.
This time, we did some sledding!
Our sleds are in storage (with everything else), so we were grateful to have some very friendly neighbors with Tupperwear lids to share! Whhheeeee!

Sledding on Tupperwear!
We tried to go out to our friends' houses to play and sled, but the roads around here looked pretty bad. After the snow, it sleeted and freezing rained and so Mom said it wasn't safe.
So... We built a.... dinosaur!
With what appears to be a vocal implant of some kind (they didn't talk). The snow was very dry and flaky and not packable at all. So this is the best we could do.

Jessa tried to be tough, but she got cold and got to go inside. I have found that for every year you grow, you have to whine about 4 to 5 extra minutes for the same result.

Anyway, Mina and I eventually did get back inside, and we got more hot chocolate! With marshmallows!
Jessa got a little bit too. This is her about to sign "more"!

Jessa is doing all kinds of things these days--
Of all the things she does though, her favorite is to eat the big girl food!
Here's Jessa at breakfast. That's eggs and bananas and pancakes. Yummm-O!
And a few hours later, it's dinner time!
Sghetti!

And then, there's the cruising! Dad's back in O-Hi-O hanging with my Aunt Kim, (who is a wonder, by the way), so we're just the girls here. Mom says all day stuck inside + no Dad= movie night!
Yay me!
So, anyway, it's dark and Mom forgot that if you tape sideways, it stays sideways-- BUT- it's a first, so it's going up for posterity. And also, I'm pretty sure I have no idea what posterity means.
Yay movie night!
