Abuela's House!

Me and Mina and Mommy and Daddy all loaded up Thursday night with our two favorite doggies and headed south. Where to? Grandma and Pop Pops!! Yipeeeeee!
We had such a very, very good time.
As a special treat, Grandma and Pop Pop said that they had a breakfast surprise for us on Saturday morning...

OOOoooooohh! Grandma- You know Goofy??!!

OOOoooh Grandma, you know Donald Duck too?
Donald Duck might be the nicest, sweetest, happiest Duck in all of Vero Beach I think! Even Wesley got in some Duck time!

Aunt Rose said that she had some special, special friends of her own that she wanted to show me, so we loaded up and drove down the road to the nicest animal shelter I've ever seen and checked out all the kitties, doggies and bunnies!

And that's not all. Pop Pop and Grandma live near the beach, and the two of those crazy grands went shopping for me and the little sister before we even got there. I love my new bikini Grandma!

Not so fast you little slippery squid! I think we'll keep you right here with us on dry land!

With all of the things Grandma does for me and Mina and Mommy and Daddy, we thought it would be nice to get together and thank Grandma with an early birthday celebration!

Dora says: Happy Birthday Gramma, now quit your dillly dallying and give Maddie some cake!!

And, my new nanny Katie started last week. She's so nice and so sweet and we all really like her a lot. She told Mommy I might like to play Candyland, so Mommy and Daddy went and got it. I love it, and I won my very first game!
Go Maddie Go!

Hot Summer Days

It has been hot in North Carolina, so we all thought, lets play in the pool with Hartley! We told Mina about it, but she thought it was a bad idea...
She said... Ooooh!!! Dat water's cold Daddy! Get out from behind that camera and get me OUTTA HERE!

Oh, dry land. Much better for me!

So, Hartely and me played without her, which was fun for us too, because as long as I've got Hartley, I am OK! I GOT YOU!!

Hartley, don't spray me!!! Hmmmm....maybe I can get her back with this hose!

We also spent some time seeing other friends this week. Mommy actually has a freind who had boys, so we met up at Chick Fila to visit with them on Friday!

Mina is such a little flirt. "Hey there cutie!"

While Mina was off flirting, I was playing with the big boys. Some day, Mina...

And, this week was our last week with Mrs. Heather, so we were extra sweet to her and Mal...

And cleaned up all of our messiness! Mina and I are really going to miss them

And also, I got new boots that I thought everyone should see. Mommy wanted everyone to know that it was Daddy who actually put this outfit together for me.

One day in a ridiculous outfit ain't so bad! Well, we're off to Florida this coming weekend to see Grandma, Pop-Pop, Aunt Rose and Cousin Wesley. Yah, more beach time!!

Oh, my Mina is getting big!

Mommy, Mina and I went to the doctor today for Mina's nine month visit.
She is 29 inches and 20 1/2 lbs!
For those of you grandmas keeping track at home, that puts her at the 90th percentile.
And that's not all, little Mina is almost a walker!
On Saturday, she took two steps at Grandma's! She sort of walked by accident (Daddy tricked her), but then tonight, she took three steps right in a row, and she didn't have to get tricked to do it!

Go Hokies!
On Saturday, before Mina's first steps, we went to a Hokie Alumni picnic.
Hokie birds love juice boxes!

Then, it was over to the children's museum--

Look, itty bitty preemies... Maddie's here!

Splish Splash!

What a fun weekend! It makes me wanna SING!

This week will be our last week with Heather and Mallory. We are all very, very sad about it.
Heather always makes such fun games for us to play!

We're excited to get a new nanny named Mrs. Katie (with baby Ava!) for the days Mommy works, and Heather and Mal will still visit us, but I am sad. I love Mrs. Heather and my buddy Mal!

Kayla's Birthday Bash

Kayla's third birthday party was on Saturday, and as a special special treat, she invited over a couple of ponies! Real, live ponies!!
Giddy up Flicka!

Kayla also got a new swing set for her birthday-- Oh my goodness, three is looking pretty good to me! only 5 1/2 months to go!!

After the party, I still had some energy to burn. I don't ever run out really, and then when you figure in birthday cake and juice boxes...

So Hartley came over to catch up and run around with me.

Super girls!

Sunday was nice and quiet day. Not hot hot hot like it's been for weeks, so we went out and enjoyed it at the park...
