Happy birthday to Jessa!

For Jessa's second birthday, we celebrated at our regular birthday celebration spot: TGI Fridays. Only we did not get our regular TGI Friday's celebration. Instead we got: The wrong salad, frozen mac and cheese, and not so great service. So, we're on the lookout for a new birthday celebration spot! We still had a good time, as you can see.

Sideways with Mom:

And on the actual birthday, we ate cake and got presents at home!

Jessa got a Cozy Coupe!

She also got some packages with great stuff from family!

Jessa and Me and Mina now have a Dora Microphone, an Alphie robot, assorted clothes, bathing suits and a Dora sing along book!

Thanks everyone!
We went to Jacksonville on the weekend and had a blast with the Mason family and the Quinlan family-- who were celebrating Emmy's 1st Communion! Hopefully, we'll share pics soon!

an early birthday with Hannah!

This weekend we've been so busy getting our house all ready for a sale, that we had to postpone Mother's Day!
So, we don't have any pictures of that, but our best neighbors ever wanted to make sure they got some Jessa Happy Birthday time. So Hannah's mom baked Jess a cake and called us over and then our other neighbor Reagan came over too and we sang and ate and jumped in the bouncy castle!

How sweet is that?
Our little girl is growing up. And growing up fast.

House hunting in Nashville

This past weekend, Grandma Liz came all the way up from Florida to watch out for us, while Mom and Dad took off on a house hunting trip. Mommy likes it there, so that's the good news. The bad news is, Grandma had her hands pretty full with me and my sisters, and so there weren't a lot of pictures. But, all that is about to change- because we've got some Mother's Day Teas coming up in all our classes.
We'll see you next week!

home again, home again jiggity jog.

We're back from a mostly great vacation at the beach. I say mostly great and not all the way great because I caught the virus from Marina on Tuesday, and was out of commission until Friday. I was Hot and Sick. I do not like being sick when there is nothing to miss except vacation. That is not for me. I haven't had a fever in a few years and I hope that's it for me.
Anyway, we did not get our friends sick- on account of Mom's quarantine, no doubt. So that was good. And, then, it was Friday, and I was better.
At the beach:

And at the Hunting Island Lighthouse. That little dot at the bottom is Mom and Jess.

Here's some pictures of our beachy-Easter celebration!
oops, mom erased six pictures by mistake. We'll upload them again tonight.
Until then, here's a few more pics from around the beach house and its environs (:

And then it was Easter time, and home time, and of course, Grandma Q time. I made this picture at Grandma's. In case you have trouble with the long words, I'll tell you what it says. Except for a couple of missing letters, it says: Tennessee home. Tennessee is where we're moving this summer, and I'm sort of scared and sort of excited, just like everyone else around here. It's where Dad needs to be to make real progress in his career, and Mom hopes to have a few months of stay at home Mom time to make some progress on my fighting with my sister.

We also did a Sunday morning hunt around our house.

Yay for Easter!

At the beach

We are at Harbor Island in a beach house and we are having FUN!

Today, we went to Hunting Island State Park. It was very nice and had lots of sand and shells and trees!

Hunting Beach also had the most amazing itty bitty hermit crabs, which were very fun to play with.

Mina stayed home today, on account of the stomach bug that caused her to throw up at dinner last night. Ewww, yucky, says the Baby Jess.

Mina is all better now though!

While we were at the beach, she hung back at the house with Dad and checked out the Harbor Island neighborhood sights. Which includes ALLIGATORS!!!

(They are behind a gator fence so they couldn't eat her up).

We've still got days and days in South Carolina-- we'll see you next week with more!

The Big Storm

A big, thunderin', lightenin', windy storm blew through our neighborhood on Monday night last week. And it left a big tree in our playset. Boooo.

Daddy's chopped up all the wood, and one of our neighbors who knows a lot about making wood look better is looking at our wood and we think he's gonna fix us all up! Yay!

This is Mina's friend Anshul. Mina hearts Anshul and Anshul follows Mina around wherever she goes. We call it puppy love.

I had a half day on Friday, and Hannah came over to spend the afternoon with us! Since we had a full house and no where to play in the back yard, we made our lemons into lemonade and also raised $32.79 for the Wide Open Charitable Foundation to benefit childhood cancer. And also the whole neighborhood came out and helped us. That was the funnest early release day I've ever had, I think.

Hop Hop and a Bike Ride

Baby Jess is still growing. You know she's almost two? She's so BIG! In the last couple of weeks Jessa has been learning all sorts of things! She's started using sentences - instead of only just words. And also, we can understand a lot more and so she's very happy all the time, instead of frustrated. All that development makes Jessa want to jump!
(and so she does that because she just learned how to do that too!)

And Mina is learning some things too, because I am such a good role model and show my sisters everything that they need to know!
